Menagerie Mondays

Posted on: April 29th, 2013 by

This is a picture I took during an architectural boat tour of downtown Chicago. Many tourists from out of town were on the boat. I am originally from New York City, but I’ve lived in Chicago for such a long time now, that I took immense pride in the beautiful city that adopted me. Today I’m proud to call myself a Midwesterner and a Chicagoan.

I will always love New York, and I visit family there whenever I can, but the Chicago area is now my home.

My kind of town. Chicago is! I get so excited when my annual professional conference meets in Chicago. Took the boat tour when I was last there and absolutely LOVED it.

      Hi Scorchy,

Yes, the boat tours are awesome, aren’t they? I agree that Chicago is a wonderful city!

Wonderful image! I guess I’m more of a small town girl at heart, though I lived in the Twin Cites for decades and loved it there. I’m sure enjoying this Monday Menagerie you’ve started!

Thank you for your support of my Monday posts. I was brought up in New York City, as you know, so I’m a big city girl who lives in the suburbs. I can appreciate the small-town girl at heart in you. There is something so wonderful about rural settings and small towns. I remember loving Baraboo, WI.
